Its not only the sh*t Sony talked at the start of this generation its the reality of what the PS3 is(how it really performs) thats disappointing to consumers and turns them off.
Some say the fanboys on web sites don't hurt Sony that much but I disagree somewhat. When Gamers go on the web to get news about their console they may be exposed to other platforms. When they check out other platforms for whatever reason and this platform happens to be PS3 they get blasted by the fanatic...

If the 360 is not being hurt when it supposedly lacks exclusives I wonder what it will do when MSFT reveals new games and stops using the underdog comeback kid tactics.
They let the anti MSFT media and fanboys do all the hyping for them (MSFT) so all they have to do is keep things secret and surprise the industry, works every time.
